Introduction to Civic Engagement

What does it mean to be an active citizen — and what can high schoolers actually do about it? This introductory unit helps students in Hawaiʻi understand their civic rights and responsibilities, explore pathways for democratic participation at local, state, and national levels, and develop the confidence to engage meaningfully in public life.
